ΑΚΤΟ and Middlesex

AKTO’s Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts programmes are assessed, and exam results validated, by Middlesex University.

This means that graduates hold Middlesex University degrees at the end of their courses of study, recognized throughout the European Union. They may, if they wish, attend the appropriate Middlesex University graduation ceremony. Students at AKTO are registered with the University and have an individual student number.

AKTO's relationship with Middlesex goes back to 1991 with the first degree validations. Since then, AKTO has become Middlesex University's strategic partner in Southeast Europe.

AKTO graduates in Bachelor of Arts programmes may continue with postgraduate studies with Middlesex University, or anywhere else in the UK and Europe and the United States.
Like Middlesex University itself, AKTO and its programmes are subject to periodic audit or review by external quality agencies such as the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), as well as by constant assessment by Middlesex University. These audits and reviews place confidence in the quality and standards of provision as operated at AKTO.

A Middlesex University Link Tutor and AKTO Art and Design College Link Tutor is allocated to AKTO's programmes of study.  They are responsible to Middlesex University for ensuring the maintenance of standards in the delivery of the programme.
