AKTO’s three libraries aim to serve the needs of students in several areas:

• Providing titles from curriculum bibliographies in Greek and English
• Providing an extensive periodicals section to keep students abreast of current design trends in the marketplace
• Providing computer terminals with access to online databases
• Providing a clean, well-lit and functional work space

Opening Hours

During semesters:

Between semesters the libraries are open 9:00 - 17:00. Libraries are closed on public holidays and during the August recess. Click here to see semester dates.

Access

The following may use AKTO libraries:

• Enrolled students
• Faculty
• Graduates (by arrangement)
• Researchers with a proven need to use the libraries

Services

Library users may enjoy the following services:

• Wired and wireless internet access
• Library catalogue searches
• Online access to other databases
• Ordering facility for magazine articles not in our collections
• Use of books, magazines and audiovisual materials
• Library PCs
• Scanners
• Photocopying facilities (B/W and colour)

Please note: AKTO libraries are not lending libraries

Rules

• Silence must be observed
• Library materials, machinery and furniture must be treated with care
• Satchels, rucksacks and other bags must be left at the reception desk
• Users are required to sign in
• Smoking, eating and drinking are strictly prohibited
• Craft knives may not be used on tabletops
• BA Projects may not be photocopied or photographed
• Students must be in class during their class hours
