AKTO is a private college of Art and Design which is not related
to specific ideological interests and does not promote anything
else than the values of art of its programmes, as those are formed
by the respective community as well as the educational values which
are universally recognized to be in line with human rights; in
addition, educational values which emanate from the rules and
provisions for higher education and its responsibilities towards
Middlesex University.
Within this context, it is understandable that
discrimination amongst students, pertaining to gender, age, race,
religion, appearance, cultural habits or physical condition, have
no place in any operation of AKTO, assuming that the above in the
premises of the institution does not prejudice the rights of the
rest of the students.
Students who, for whichever reason, feel that they are suffering any such form of discrimination are encouraged to discuss the issue with the officials of the management, who, along with the assistance of the Programme Leaders and key members of teaching staff, see to eliminate the phenomenon.
